Learn to Play Basketball - Enrol Now ! Term 1 starts Friday 29/01/10 
Learn to Play Basketball is a HALC initiative to teach kids the skill of basketball, whilst encouraging exercise and the development to work with others in a group environment. Lee Cooper, the program Head Coach, has a wealth of skill in teaching basketball, and is able, with his team to be at the level of the age groups involved.

About the stadium:

The newly built indoor sports stadium at the Aquatic Centre was officially named the ‘Johnny Warren’ Indoor Sports Centre on Friday 20 February 2004. 

Soccer player Johnny Warren represented St George on 297 occasions from 1963 to 1974, winning three championships along the way. He was player coach on one occasion and non playing coach on another. He represented Australia from 1965 to 1974 playing 62 matches, including 44 full internationals and captaining the national team on many occasions. He was awarded the title of Member of the British Empire in 1973, the Order of Australia Medal in 2003 and inducted into the Australian Sports Hall of Fame in 1988.


The stadium is able to stage three basketball games at the one time. It is a state-of-the-art facility that will play host to many sports including karate, kung-fu, indoor soccer, aerobics, badminton, netball, indoor touch, gymnastics and baton twirling.

The multi-purpose stadium can also be used for large community events.
